Join us at First Church on Wednesday, March 1, for a powerful and moving Ash Wednesday Service where we are reminded what it means to be human. We gather in Loper Chapel at 7 pm for stories, songs, prayers, candlelight, communion and the humble act of receiving ashes on our foreheads.
The labyrinth will also be available for walking outside the chapel beginning at 6 pm until the service begins and then afterwards until 8:30 pm. Come and go as you choose. If the weather is bad, it will be set up in the Pillar Room (in the East Bay School for Boys—enter through Loper Chapel.)
The journey of the spirit can take us so many different places. It can be up and down, in and out, back and forth. Each person's path is a bit different. At First Church we know what it means to be on that road and we will walk with you in the easy times and the hard. We will help each other see what is most important in our lives.
