100 voices! East Bay Premiere
A benefit for the Women’s Daytime Drop-in Center in Berkeley

Under the direction of First Church Music Director Derek Tam, 100 singers from several Berkeley-area choruses will perform the East Bay premiere of "Street Requiem". This 50-minute cantata, written in 2014 by Kathleen McGuire, Andy Payne, and Jonathon Welch, features a variety of musical styles, ranging from gospel to baroque. It was written to bring a sense of peace, remembrance and hope to communities struggling with homelessness.

Admission is free, but donations will be collected before and during the concert.

You can also donate online. ***Please specify "STREET REQUIEM" in your donation in the "Notes" box***.) Every dollar counts! We hope to raise $15,000.

The concert is sponsored by Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra, First Church Berkeley, and the Berkeley Women's Community Chorus.

Free, with donations encouraged for the Women's Daytime Drop-in Center
