Large Assembly & Sanctuary
In April, we will celebrate the dignity and beauty of this one earth we share, honor the devastating realities of climate change and lift up the hope of our resurrection faith with a three-week worship series on Sunday, April? 10, 17 & 24, culminating in our fourth annual Green Commute Sunday, on April 24, with a blessing of bicycles, walking shoes and public transit tickets!
We will welcome guest preachers Rev. Diane Weible on April 10 (both services) and local climate activist and “Green the Church” founder Rev. Dr. Ambrose Carroll on April 17 (11 am).
Also come hear a representative from Save the Bay present important information about Measure AA for a Clean & Healthy Bay, which is on the June 7 ballot, during the Learning Hour on Sunday, April 17 at 10 am.
We invite you to submit photos of your favorite place in the world—a place where you connect with God or a place you are committed to protecting—in the face of climate change—to Kit Novotny (firstname.lastname@example.org). Your favorite place will make an appearance onscreen in worship on Earth Day Sunday, April 24.
