Honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by volunteering with Save the Bay at the MLK Jr. Regional Shoreline (Oakland) on Monday, January 19, 9 am?12 pm.
Come join members of First Church?s Ministry of Outreach, Mission and Service and the Green Ministry Team to help restore wetland habitat that is essential ?to all Bay Area residents alike. Healthy tidal wetlands improve water quality and protect our cities from flooding, a very important feature during storm surges and King Tide events of winter. This day coincides with King Tides, therefore a walk will be included to teach about them and how they provide a glimpse into the future.
The last day to sign up is Sunday, January 18, 10 am?12:15 pm in the Small Assembly. There is a limit of 10 people. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. For more information please contact Annis Kukulan.
