On Sunday, January 13, Nancy DeNero will talk about Emotional Support Animals (along with her Yorkie Frances) and the Federal laws that protect persons who need them, which at this time is a gray area in disability protection.
What is an Emotional Support Animal (ESA)? How do they differ from “pets” or “trained service animals”? Come learn how these animals serve their owners, and where they are allowed to be taken. Nancy will explain that there is no registration process for ESAs, but for travel and hotel stays, a letter from a licensed psychological professional is required with specific information.
This Learning Hour will be held in Loper Chapel at 11:45 am. It is sponsored by the First Church Mental Health Ministry Team.
