We celebrate Pentecost—often called the “birthday of the church”—on Sunday, May 20 during the 10 am worship service with special sights, sounds, songs and prayers.
Wear red, which is the liturgical color for the day.
This special day which comes seven Sundays after Easter is a day to celebrate the way the Spirit infused the entire community based on the story in Acts 2:1-31.
This Sunday will also be Confirmation Sunday when several of the youth will be confirmed and become members. They will be involved in the service along with Senior Minister Molly Baskette who will preach.
We’ll celebrate with a special “After-Party” on the terrace after the service with cake.
