Lent 2018: Lovers & Fools

Lent logo: Lovers & FoolsBecause this year Ash Wednesday falls on Valentine’s Day, and Easter on April Fools’, we have adopted as our Lenten theme: Lovers & Fools!

I Corinthians, the same book that brought us the famous Love Chapter of the Bible, also teaches us “the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong.”

This Christian life asks everything of us: most of all, that we love extravagantly, and often do things that seem foolish to the world, because of that love we bear. Together we’ll explore this call to love and holy foolishness on the Lenten adventure.
