Second Sunday Sandwiches Satisfies

A spirited, dedicated and growing group of Second Sunday Sandwiches volunteers gathered on the sidewalk outside of Loper Chapel this past Sunday to create 50 bag lunches for the homeless in the area. The lunches were very well received in the community and contained two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, home-baked cookies and a sweet treat.

Helping with this effort is a great way to make a big difference in the community and only takes an hour a month commitment to make the lunches and distribute them. You can help in different ways: Make, bake, take or stake! Make sandwiches on the second Sunday, bake cookies for 50 lunches (and hopefully bag or wrap them), take the lunches to homeless people, or stake a month with a donation of only $50. The various items can also be donated.
