Sermon

For this all-ages service, the theme was about how to be an “upstander”—how we support those who are being bullied directly or indirectly. Minister of Art & Communication Phil Porter reflects on the ways that Jesus served and healed his followers even when it went against the religious laws of the time (Mark 2:23-3:6), He also talks about how we can stand up to those who might be threatening or challenging even in our own community, as well as the ways that we can directly address issues of racism and discrimination.
