Jed B. (he, him) Jed writes “I am from Zimbabwe but I have been in the United States since moving here for university education. I only recently found out about the UCC denomination from a friend, but immediately felt a kinship to this approach to faith. When I moved to the East Bay last year, I intentionally searched for UCC churches and am so grateful to have found FCCB. I look forward to growing in community with you all.”
Alex C. (they, them) Alex writes “I am originally from Los Angeles, California and have been living in the Bay Area for 11 years. I have worked in education for 5 years. In my spare time I like to read and volunteer at the Berkeley Public Library. I decided to join First Church because I want to reconstruct my faith and be a part of a spiritual community.”
